I just did my first discovery with Daniel. I’m more of a nervous flyer, but this was sooo easy. Super insightful, I learned a lot, had fun and got to fly an airplane for the first time :). I cannot wait to do it again.

I came across Daniel Sims while looking for a well qualified and capable CFI who can assist my son in preparing for his FAA checkride this past year, as our local San Carlos Airport was shut down for flight instruction due to COVID.

I could not have been more impressed with this CFI, who I didn’t realize, also had his B.S. in Aviation from SJSU.  My son received the necessary training which was both effective and timely.

Very easy going, sharp and the CFI that I would want to have if I was training to be a pilot.

I had the honor and privilege of flying alongside Daniel as we attended the same flight school together. I can’t say enough good things about Daniel. He is not only extremely professional but well trained and knowledgeable. Daniel is also very dependable and well respected. Flying with Daniel allowed me to expand my knowledge on different aspects of flight training. He is very patient and will keep explaining things until you understand it. I feel safe and comfortable when flying with Daniel. He has great situational awareness when flying and is always ten steps ahead of the aircraft. He has the training and background in multiple types of aircraft. If you are looking to find the best training and becoming a professional in the aviation field, then I highly recommend training with Daniel. You will not only receive the training in successfully completing your FAA check rides but will receive tools that will benefit you throughout your aviation career.

Met Daniel at Advantage Aviation in Palo Alto for my first/discovery flight. My wife had purchased the discovery flight for my birthday! I was pretty nervous to start with but Daniel was excellent in teaching, guiding, and reassuring my nerves! He was very confident in his skills and that made me feel safe to take the yoke for some turns and even a bit of landing. I highly recommend Daniel as a flight instructor!
